Also on the 2009 'To Buy' list:

I would cinch up my classic trench and follow this man to Guyana if he asked me to.

Seriously though, it's surprising to me that I own so few of these items. And the ones I do own don't fit well at all, on account of me having the Longest Torso in America. Tim also says we should ALL be getting EVERYTHING tailored. Yes Sir. No more buying ill-fitting, poorly made, trendy fashion. Because that's not sustainable at all.

Good question. All I know is I don't have one.

I think a sweat suit alternative is a sweatsuit that you would wear to the grocery store? Like juicy sweatpants maybe?
I'm no fashionista (the opposite actually), but I know that my wife wears real Nike workout clothes to train people AND to work out- and I have a feeling that those fru-fru sweatpants would not find their way to the gym. This is just a guess from a guy who would wear boardshorts and flipflops every day if he could.
And jeans too. I do like jeans.

Speaking of, I actually love the Katie jeans. Looking forward to hearing about Zimbabwe, as any guarantee coming out of that country at the moment would be hard to honor these days. Or so it seems...

Also,
Tim Gunn is very cool, but I am almost certain that not every woman needs a trench coat. Okay, I'm just gonna go ahead and say I'm positive that every woman does not need one. I'm kinda surprised that is #2 on the list.
Wonderful man, super smart and styley, but gotta leave Manhattan once in a while and go somewhere besides Paris. Like maybe a place with trees would be good... or dirt. Yeah, some dirt would do that guy some good. He doesn't have to go 4wheeling in Glamis, but homey needs to get his manicured paws dirty sometimes.
For him, I think just an herb garden would suffice.
